How bright is a video camera light measured in lumins?

Question

I want to buy a video light that is measured in lumins (a measurement of light) in the specifications. The specs state that the power of the light is 600 lumins. How can I get an idea of the brightness of this small video light. I am familar with the power of a 10 watt video light and I know that I need somewhat more than that with the new HD camera that I bought. Is 600 lumins equal to about 10, 20 or 30 watts ???? please help .....Thanks Tom G.

You can't make a direct correlation - some lights are more efficient than others.  You're probably looking at around 10 watts - 600 lumens isn't very bright.
