  1. It could be very busy this weekend.

I would guess the farther you drive the less crowded it could be.

Grapevine and Benbrook should be over run with people.

Lake Whitney is also possible, as is Possum Kingdom.

Just be careful because some will be drinking late in the day.

  2. Tough question, since it IS a three day weekend and it isnt suppose to rain, my guess is that it'll be busy with everyone trying to go out and lay back and bbq..

  3. Have you considered Joe Pool Lake in Cedar Hill State Park?  I'm not familiar with Benbrook or Possum Kindom, but Joe Pool won't be as crowded as Grapevine.  It's a very nice lake with a swimming area,  and grills, and even a playground (if you need that).  You can reach it by taking Beltline (1382) south from I 20 to Cedar Hill or taking Great Southwest Pkwy south from i 20 in Grand Prairie. It's a couple miles south of I 20. Where ever you go have fun and be careful.

  4. They'll all be relatively busy, but it's never like solid boats. The only thing I recommend is stay away from Lake Lewisville. At least one person dies every single holiday. Edit: This just in: and there's one this holiday.

  5. Possum Kingdom would be my choice.  They'll all be very busy but Possum is large and farther from the metroplex.  Grapevine would be my last choice.  Its small and very very busy.  I go to Grapevine about once each week and wouldn't recommend it this weekend.  Or Lake Lewisville would be even worse.  Sam Rayburn has too much standing timber to do any good boating/skiing/tubing but if you want to fish that's the best choice.  Richland Chambers would also be good if you're tubing or skiing.  And Fairfield if you don't mind the drive or even Cedar Creek.  I don;t know much about Benbrook.

  6. Go to Muenster TX, if you like small towns and road trips--it rocks-- also, Winstar casino sells alcohol now, but don't expect to win too much, it sort tight there.  Muenster is like you just stepped into Germany, but with a hick small town twist :)

  7. Very  busy.  Sister  got  travel trailor then  couldnt  get a  place to park. No places  left.  But she is  located more central Tx.  Hope you get more answers.
