How busy is Disneyland Paris, and what other things do you reccomend in Paris?

Hi,

My boyfriend and I are going to Paris in the middle November and will be visiting Disneyland, but I was just wondering what the queues will be like. We would probably go on a weekday rather than weekend but is it likely to be quieter since it's not summer or does it tend to be busy all year round? How long are the queues likely to be for the big rides at this time of year?

Also, I'm looking for suggestions on what to do in Paris. We will be there for 3 full days of which 1 will be spent at Disney, plus we will have some time on the days we are traveling so another 2 half days, so not a huge ammount of time. I'd like to do a bus tour and a trip down the Seine and obviously the Eiffel Tower, but what else would be good to do?

Thanks!

  1. Hi,

Just an advice for disney, if you want to have a break and eat something do it around 11h00 / 11h30 am to avoid the big queue at the entrance of restaurants...

Things to do : Montmartre which is typical, Place Vendôme (Jewels), Champs Elysées, Notre Dame

Use metropolitan and RER it is quicker than cars...

    Enjoy your trip,

  2. careful! disney is not in paris! it's in marne la vallee...it's quite far from paris, you can take the train but it is tedious....

  3. In November you generally should not have a problem with the busyness of disneyland paris... i would suggest as soon as you arrive at disneyland and get your tickets etc choose a ride you particularly want to go on and go get a fast-pass (you can only get for one ride at a time)

also when it comes to meal times if you are planning on eating in the park eat around 11:30 to avoid the lunch time rush... be aware that during the day is the time when the queues are at their worst but towards the evening is your chance to get around a lot...

during November queues average from 15 minutes to an hour usually

  4. well when i was there in june i think the longest we waited in line was for like 50 mins so u should b ok in november.

  5. I went in Feb '08 during UK halfterms. I was shocked at how busy the park was even though it was *freezing* cold. They have this neat system where you can make ride "reservations" and then you don't have to wait in line as long. We didn't use it at first, because we didn't understand it. Once we figured it out, we used it all the time at DLP and Walt Disney Studios.

  6. November is not a igh tourist time in Paris so you should not have long waits at the Park.

I would recommend shopping along the Champs Elysee, a visit to the Louvre, and just sitting enjoying a few drinks in various cafes.

  7. its not that busy in disneyland paris and its supper fun but a bit childish

  8. In the off-season (when school is in session), Disneyland is not bad at all.  During school holiday periods and in summertime it is often packed, but not necessarily any worse than other Disney parks.  The best day of the week to visit is Wednesday.

I'll be blogging our Disneyland Paris experience in a few days. The lines were looooooong but a November weekday probably won't be nearly as bad.

If you've gone to Disneyland in L.A. going to the one in Paris is a complete waste of time if you want something new. It is nearly identical except with smokers.
