  1. Similar to my reply re Vroom.

    The theory is built-on the belief that employees become de-motivated, both in relation to their job and their employer, if they feel as though their inputs are greater than the outputs.

    De-motivation may occur if the employee perceives there is an inequality between the inputs and the outputs, thus, they reduce their efforts, become unhappy, and my even develop dissident attitudes and actions.
