  1. Are there any grown up in this forum? Just 8 year old? Questions with no thought and answers completely irrelevant.

And to answer the question now...

Atheists deny God because they have their own god....their EGO, themselves above anyone else. That is the only reason

  2. Not entirely sure how those two thoughts are linked...

    How can you deny Thor?

Aren't you afraid of your left arm exploding?

  3. We can't "deny" what doesn't exist.

If you wish to claim that your fictional sky pixie does exist, pony up the objective evidence for your claim. No evidence offered ? Claim fails.

Oh, thanks for pointing out that YOU view your pixie as a *hostage taking terrorist*.

  4. It isn't denial, but disbelief.

  5. No, I'm not afraid of never seeing my family again. The idea of becoming worm food is a peaceful one. Who would want to live forever? Even in spirit. What would you do all day? Watch the living play in a world you can no longer effect? Talk about torture!

As far as how I can disbelieve in the existence of a God... It would scare me much more if I routinely permitted my desires for the way I wish things OUGHT to be to cloud my judgment for how they actually ARE.

Not that I wish there were a God nor a heaven, see above about worm food.

  6. No...how can I be afraid of what I don't know. It will be just like before I was born. I wasn't looking forward to meeting my family. I had no clue. We can deny god through the contradiction the religion offers. Any all-knowing god would at least be smart enough to not contain a trillion and 1 loopholes in his d**n faith.

  7. Which atheist are you talking about?

And is your avatar really wearing a catsuit?

  8. I don't deny God anymore than I deny the cookie monster.

And according to Christian dogma, you don't see your family after death, since all memory of loved ones is erased.

  9. Yes I am afraid of never seeing my family again. That doesn't mean I am going to believe in something totally irrational.

  10. If God is a just and forgiving God, aren't all the athiests going to get into heaven anyways?

  11. Which god? And my parents aren't Christians and since you believe they're going to h**l, then you surely believe I'm going to be seeing them again.

  12. First of all- it's atheistS....

Second of all, if we never saw our loved ones again, we would not notice, we would be dead.  Death means the end of consciousness.

Why would I be afraid of something I do not believe in?

  13. I'm sorry, but your question is sadly lacking in any logic whatsoever.

  14. Apparently, they do so quite easily.

Atheists do not believe in God because it seems logical to them

  15. Never heard of the joker .

  16. From what I have seen here, most atheists hold no belief in an afterlife.  Therefore, the threat of never seeing their family again is meaningless.

  17. I agree with Natalie. don't ask them the bible already tell us why. No wonder all atheist jumped out and gave bad rating to Natalie which in my opinion is the right answer.

  18. and atheist does not deny god because he or she believes there is no god (they believe god has no existence)

As heaven an h**l are part of the religion which is based around god and jesus I'm guessing that they don't believe in Heaven and h**l either !

    hope this helps! :)

  19. Sometimes just because something sounds nice doesn't mean it's true.

Sure, it would be nice to live in heaven with my family and friends flapping around with white wings forever.  Doesn't mean it's true.

  20. I'm not saying that I wouldn't love for there to be a magical paradise we all go to to be with our loved ones forever, but wishing something was true does not MAKE it true.  I'd love for there to be 100 million dollars in my savings account, too, but I'm not going to go out and buy a yacht...

  21. The same way you deny leprechauns.

But thanks for pointing out that your religion is totally fear based, yet again.

  22. HUH?

What makes you think that in the after life we will recognize each other anyway?

I don't understand how mere humans such as ourselves can speak with such authority about what happens after  the life force leaves this mortal body .....

I mean really .... what are souls going to do for ETERNITY???? sit around in heaven and do NOTHING?  Continue living life like this?  ETERNITY .... has nothing to do with TIME as you experience it.  ("In the presence of eternity mountains are as transient as clouds." ) Do you understand what ETERNITY is?  There is no end.

These things don't make anymore sense to me than your question.

I believe in Divine Being, the Great Spirit, God/Goddess .... BUT I am not going to act like I know what happens .....

(It reminds me of the question of what happens to the souls in purgatory when the pope gets rid of it ..... IF there is a purgatory the Pope can not get rid of it ... just like there used to be 7 levels of Heaven and h**l ..... humans can't change what God does!)

    uhg!

  23. Can't deny what you don't believe in. But here's the thing about logic- once the facts add up...you can't just force yourself to believe in something that doesn't seem plausible. You -can't-, it's impossible.

If nothing else, how do we know your religion is the right one out of the hundreds of thousands? How come most religions are basically the same? IE: Worshipping someone greater than you out of fear of being punished.

Why should I follow a God who seems overly emotional, irrational, and vengeful?

*shrugs* There's 6 or 7 billion people on the earth, we're bound to disagree.

  24. Atheists.......is god going to bring my mother back to me? I hardly think so.

  25. Which Atheist ?Donna ? Lime Kitty ? Ceiling cat ?

  26. Atheists don't deny God.

To deny God you'd have to believe, then disown.

Atheists don't believe to begin with.

  27. We atheists are not bad people, we are not evil, we are not cruel, and we certainly not heartless. MOST of us are caring, and nice. Atheists and Theists may have different beliefs but we are all human beings aren't we? do we all have feelings? do we not cry when we have just gone through a great loss? OF COURSE WE ARE AFRAID, but that is not gonna force us to believe in something irrational, and simply something we personally do not believe in. You need to keep an open mind about your beliefs, I did, and I made my choice. So to answer your question in a short way, YES WE ARE AFRAID BUT LOSS IS A PART OF LIFE, YOU JUST GOTTA LEARN TO LIVE WITH IT.

and by the way, please ask yourself this one question, keep an open mind about it; "THIS FAITH THAT YOU HAVE IN GOD, IS IT FAITH, OR FEAR? FEAR THAT YOU MIGHT GO TO h**l, NEVER SEE SOMEONE YOU LOVE AGAIN, ETC..." keep an open mind do not fool yourself...

  28. They don't know any better!! satan has them right where he wants them. So, he know he has them denying God so he(satan) doesn't have to worry about them. They're like money in the bank. They are his!!

  29. Which god are they denying?  Or do they deny all gods?

Hey, what do you mean aren't they afraid of never seeing their family?  How does that pertain to your question?

  30. I can easily deny god.

My family is here.  Imaginary beings have nothing to do with me or my family.
