How can Beijing recover from so much scandal?

There is so much controversy surrounding the Olympics (as per usual), but there is a lot of focus this year on various deceits and misrepresentations.

How can they recover and regain credibility, if at all?

I think the host country has the right to the show to you in whatever way they think best.  Does all Hollywood movies real or fake?

If U.S keep talking about human rights and freedom, then this is the time that we should learn how to respect China's right and freedom to express in whatever format they think best in the Olympics' opening.

Anyway, it hurt nobody.

If you are talking about the miming singer, the fake firework on TV etc, that's not much big deal. Everyone should know how much "fake" stuff goes on in these ceremonies.

If you are talking about political issues, including tibet etc. well that's gonna be there regardless of the olympics.
