How can Dominos get a pizza to your door in 30 minutes?

Are they just that fast? I used to work at a competitor to Dominos and we rarely got it out in 30 minutes. (always busy)

it depends on what you order. not only that but there's at least one per zip code so they're never that far off anyway.

Dominos is super fast but it also depends on where you live. Lets say someone lives 5 miles away and someone else lives 10 miles away! which do u think will get their pizza first? of course the 5 mile one. But yah, they are fast and their pizza rocks!!!

it has to do with how they prepare their pizza. to be honest i have never got one from them that fast.

They make the dough and put on toppings and put it in a giant rotating furnace that can cook alot of pizzas really fast.

Don't they have ovens in their cars that finish the baking process.  If they don't, it would be a great idea for you as a competitor.

You must live close to dominos, when I order dominos out here it takes 45 minutes to an hour in a half to deliver to my house. One factor I think why I never get my pizza delivered in 30 minutes is cause of traffic. Theres so many cars where I live. No matter what time of day it is there always cars on the road where I live. It would be nice if I could recieve a pizza from dominos where I live in 30 minutes,but I doubt that will ever happen.

Dominos gets the piza to your door in 30 minutes from the time they leave their store with it. This is easily done because they have a small nearby  delivery area.

They used to guarantee 30 minutes from the time you ordered the pizza a long time ago but they have quit doing that. There was an accident involving one of their drivers who was speeding years ago so they changed their policy to protect themselves.

It only takes 8 mins for a pizza to go through the cooking process.  This leaves 22 minutes for prep and delivery - with the concentration of dominos locations this is very doable.  For example I live 2 minutes away from the location closest to me, and 8 mins from the next closest location.

and when they get a call they speed down the road as though their life depended on it..

im sure they also only let the driver work on commission , so if he doesn't make it in the time limit he wont get his wages for that hour slot

Because all they have to do is heat up the pizza since it is already pre-made. Then they just rush out to your house. I want some pizza now! Hope I helped :)!

well most people dont paty attention to how long it takes.

and it is so quick probally cause it may just sit under a light but when ever i eat there it is always cold uck.

They find the closest location to your house and then deliver the pizza. If they don't get it there in time(RARE, VERY RARE) then you get the pizza free. Pizza Hut is better though.
