How can Elizabeth stop being afraid?

Ok Elizabeth is in her 50’s and she lives with her mom (in her 80’s). Elizabeth’s dad has been dead for over 20 years. Elizabeth has a sister, brother-in-law and two nephews who live minutes from where she and her mom live. During the day Elizabeth does not think about the things that bother her and Elizabeth just enjoys the day. However, at night Elizabeth keeps thinking that one day her mom wont be here and it scares her. One of the reasons is that right now Elizabeth is unemployed and her mom right now is paying the rent, etc until Elizabeth gets on her feet again (hopefully soon). And all her Aunts and Uncles are dead on her dad’s side and most on her mom’s side. Her mom has only two sisters out of six left. All the in-laws of her mothers are dead as well. So Elizabeth is scared of losing her mom and Elizabeth is scared of being alone. Help.

Elizabeth needs to take on her life's challenges head on.  First of all, she should put all of her energy into finding a job which will make her independent.

She cannot continue her life hoping that others will take care of her.  Instead, she must take on that responsibility herself.
