Question:

How can I NOT sleep through my alarm, and what kind of music do you listen to while getting ready for school?

I get about six and a half hours of sleep every night, im going to be a freshmen in september, I put my alarm as my iPod on LOUD, but I sleep through it about 40% of the time. What do I do? Also, give some opinions on what songs/artists you listen to when getting ready for school (:

  1. If I were you I would listen to loud music as an alarm.


  2. To start with, try going to bed earlier.  You really need about 8 or 9 hours sleep per night, especially during school.  It will take some getting used to, but do it!

    Get a really annoying alarm clock.  Put it in a metal bucket and place it on a hard surface close enough to your bed that you can't ignore it, but far enough away so that you have to get up to turn it off.

    Find the most annoying, "hard", jammin' music you can find.  Something with a fast beat but not depressing or angry lyrics.  Something happy sounding that gets your blood stirring in the morning.  If nothing else, get a cd of John Philip Sousa marches!  to get yourself marchin' in the morning.

  3. I use to have the same problem. One thing you could do is buy an alarm clock and have both the iPod and the alarm clock awake you. If you want music, just use music you like.
