  1. I don't know...read more often maybe. Expand your vocabulary.

  2. just keep practicing... then u can get the hang of it.

and then you get better and better and soon you can be

    a really fast reader.

    :]

  3. The two best ways imo to increase reading speed are to one read often and become accustomed to it and two try not to internally say the words this slows down reading a ton and most do it so don't speak the works in your mind just read the text

  4. There's a technique known as 'speed reading' in which you learn to quickly scan a whole line of text and pick out the important words. This can increase your reading speed and comprehension dramatically, so it's worth giving it a try.

Here's a link to a free course you can take online, but Internet Explorer is best for the web site.

There are several others. Search Google for:

    free speed reading online

You can also buy books on speed reading.

    Hope this helps you.

  5. If you read slow, it's for a reason.  You probably take more time to comprehend what you're reading, and there's nothing wrong with that.  Don't try to read faster than what you do because you probably won't understand everything you read, you may miss a lot, or you may drift off and not even pay attention.  Don't focus on speed; focus on concentrating and content comprehension.
