How can I access files on another computer?

I have an imac and a macbook. I have files on my imac that I would like to be able to access from my macbook. Is there any way that I can do this?

You can send the files in an email to yourself then open it up on the macbook.  Or you can get a USB and plug it into your computer, drag the files you want into the folder then take the USB out and plug it into your macbook.  Hope I helped. =]
