Question:

How can I access the AFL/VFL membership archive to prove a membership existed at VFL Park Waverley?

I was a member of VFL Park Waverley when it began. Now the AFL cannot verify membership as it is an archive that only few people have access to. The AFL appear to have put my request in the 2hard basket.

  1. I kept my membership medallion that's how how i prove it

  2. Do you have any paperwork as some proof, along with dates.??

Don't let the AFL pull the Archive stunt on you.

Arrange an appointment with the section that handle this data, or just front up to the "Few People"

If they see that you mean business, they will give you the info to get you off their case.

Ensure that you know the particular dept. before you approach them.

Marketing and Public relations within the AFL is a good section to approach, for starters, as it's all about keeping the supporters happy. Good Luck

  3. I don't know how desparate you are to obtain this information but as a last resort there is always the Freedom of Information section (FOIA). I am unaware of any AFL sites where this info is available to the public.

A fee is payable, (I think about 30 bucks - but not sure). It may be worthwhile giving their office a ring. They supply info from all walks of life.
