My wife is due to deliver in the end of november and We have to fly in the first week of jan. Now, waiting for the last month would mean that the tickets cost twice as much. I am getting a great price now, would it be possible to buy the tickets for my family now and then add the baby later when he / she is born. Thanks for the help.

  1. As long as you are carrying your newborn on your lap, you should be able to just select the "child on lap" option or feature. If you are having real problems just call the airlines and state what is going on, they would be happy to help you. I know when I flew with my son, they did not take down his name or actual information until we got to the terminal and checked in.

  2. I would call the airline and ask, I'm sure they can accommodate you, or have a certain procedure. I would look at the best rates you can find and call that airline directly.

  3. The babys name doesnt have to be on the ticket because you are not purchasing a seat for the child.  You should call your airline though and have them record on their file that you will be travling with a baby. They need to know numbers but the baby will not have to be added!  Good Luck!
