  1. Maybe You should try to google it first ,nonetheless, if you prefer some direct resource ,here might be helpful.http://health-insurance.expert-tip.info/...

  2. You probably won't be able to add them unless you are somehow able to prove that they are your dependents. You should still try asking your insurance company though,

  3. You can't, sorry . . .

  4. Why would you want to if you could?  Indiviudal insurance is cheaper than group (assuming they're healthy enough to qualify).

  5. You can't.

  6. Short answer - you can't.

Longer answer - 99.999999999999% of employer's health insurance  policies would not consider an employee's parent to be an eligible dependent.

If you want absolute confirmation that your parents are not eligible to be on your policy, ask your HR/benefits office at work.  They are the experts on your particular employer's policy.

You can also check your health insurance policy (aka "certificate of coverage" or "summary plan document"), if you happen to have a copy handy.  The eligibility rules for your policy will be clearly spelled out there, and your employer cannot deviate from those.

(Again, you can go through those steps if you wish...but I can guarantee you with 99.9999999999999999% certainty that you won't be able to add your parents to your plan.  Whether or not they are financially dependent upon you is irrelevant...it all goes by the eligibility criteria set up by your employer.)

  7. You can't.

Your parents don't meet the definition of dependents.

    Don

  8. ~~Some companies have policies that will allow you to add on anyone who is a full time dependent. It's very rare though. You would need to check with your Human Resource Department. Are they low income? Some states provide very low cost to free medical insurance to low income residents. You can check this through your County Health Department. Good luck!~~

  9. Work health insurance usually only offers options for yourself, your spouse, and children.  I don't think any other relatives will qualify.

But it never hurts to ask.  Your company's Human Resources department would be where to start asking.
