Ok heres the deal: I found an iPod and it has songs on it already and I want to add more but the problem is that my sister already has an iPod synced on the computer and I dont want to erase her songs but I also dont want to lose my songs. Is there any way to add songs on here without erasing anything?

  1. I'm not sure, but I would back up all the songs you currently have on iTunes that way if someones songs do get lost in the process, you have a backup plan. (:

  3. www.getsharepod.com

Use this to get the songs off the ipod and add it to itunes. Then add the songs back on and add any other songs of yours.

  4. You don't need any additional programs to solve this problem.

    1. In iTunes, go to Edit > Preferences (at the top left of the iTunes window).

    2. Go to the last tab, "Syncing"

    3. There is an option: "Disable automatic syncing for all iPhones and iPods"

    4. Make sure that that option is ticked.

    5. Press OK to save the new settings.

You can now connect your iPod to iTunes without fear of deleting all the music already in iTunes. You can put music into the Music Library, and then drag them from the Library onto the Music tab on your iPod.

After you're done, just turn the setting off again so that iTunes will sync with your sister's iPod the next time she uses it.

Personally, I permanently leave it off so there's absolutely no risk at all of losing any music through syncing

    Hope that helped!
