Question:

How can I advertise for other sites?

I am about to start an online business. The idea/concept behind what it will be is very smart, so I think it will be a pretty good success. I already have some plans on advertising my site, but to bring in some money I'd like to advertise for other sites/businesses/products. I have only found a small handful of sites I can and will be advertising for, but I will definitely need more. Sometimes, finding sites that talk about advertising themselves less than advertising you can be difficult. Thanks for your answers and your time!

  1. The best way to get more customer is using payperclick advertising at yahoo and google. You can try advertise at high traffic free classified.I sell ebook and i get many customer from that.Advertise at this website.

  2. I'll answer here to add to the other good options made by previous posters.

I've been trying different ways to posts ads and had mixed success with some. But, if you want an all around solution that has potential to become one of the biggest ad centers, you should try APSense. APSense is a social networking, blog, Yahoo! Answers-like, Google Groups like, forum, personal website, and classified ads site all-in-one! You have so many places you can advertise without any fear of getting anything deleted. Of course you will need to be presentable to the community and not look like a spammer.

But personally, I've had great success in attracting a good amount of quality traffic to my site. You can learn much from the discussions as well. Best haven for advertisers. You also get paid for advertising.

Check out my Squidoo article too below for other great places to advertise. APSense is my personal favorite.

  3. If you want to earn from advertising, you have two options:

1 - Sell the ads yourself. This will entail having your own ad server and allowing advertisers access to statistics of how their campaigns are doing (real time if possible) in terms of views, clicks, etc. An ad server also allows you to manage your campaigns and inventory

2 - Use an advertising agency. They will do all the selling for you, and some will give you the option of showing only the ads you want for your site. The downside is that they take a cut of the revenues (can be 50-50 or 60-40).

There are three types of ad agencies:

Banner ad networks which show ads on a CPM or CPC basis. These are often image ads.
