How can I afford a Disney World Vacation?

I really want to take my boyfriend to Disney World because he's never been there. I want to go before we have our first kid. I want to go around september or october of next year and I want to stay in a resort and be able to go to all 4 major parks plus maybe one water park. What is the best way to make this affordable? I'd like to stay around $2500. Is this possible?

  1. well they have this thing where if u go see disney movies and send them the tickets u get a discount.

  2. First, contact Disney World for their vacation package DVD and booklet, it is free and will help you with the planning.  Then I suggest talking to a travel agent, they usual get packages and deals a little cheaper than you will be able to on your own.  I have found that the price is not as far different from doing all the research on your own.

  3. You're picking a great month to go since summer will be over, so planes, hotels, and other things may be cheaper. I say it's very possible.

  4. $2500? yeh if you wanna get half way

  5. Travel agents and Disney make it real easy to afford. They will set you up on payments per month and they get all the meals you will eat included.

  6. check there website for speacials or go to a travel agency.  they do have deals where you can make monthly payments on it and then when it is paid off you can go on your trip

  7. Save money, get a good package.

  8. That is enough but you probably will have to stay in a value resort. Me and my bf went and he paid $1800. We stayed at the All Star Music for 7 days and it came with the ticket to go to all 6 parks. Plus we had the basic dining plan included in that. He booked through AAA. We had so much fun and we were gone most of the day so we really didn't spend that much time in our hotel. It really doesn't matter if it's not the fanciest one. When you have the dining plan you don't have to worry about having to budget for food. So we got all that for $1800 and you really don't need to spend money on anything else except tipping and a few souvineers.

  9. I live here, where are you coming from?  Yes, you can do it on that. You could stay cheaper at a hotel outside the parks and shuttle in that would save you money.

You can go to Hotwire.com or Travelocity.com and type in Disney Vacation.

    You can do it :)

Also, not sure where you're flying from, but a great economical airline is airtran.com

  10. i think u can go with $2500 but u wont be able to do everything u want and that's ok 2 .  u can check out the rest next time u go with ur future kids lol

  11. September/October is a great time to go.  Schools are in session for most, so crowds are much thinner.  Weather is perfect, too.

First -- head over to http://www.disneyworld.com/affordable/  --  that's the official Disney website for putting together a package at the lowest price.  I think your budget is definitely do-able.  You can get your tickets, Disney resort room & possibly the dining plan all together.

Second -- request the Disney vacation planning DVD.  It's free, covers all the info about WDW (attractions, shows, resorts, etc.).

    Good luck...and have fun!

  14. look on the Disney web sight for affordable vacations, were going this October for our family of 4 we found the some places that were 1,780.00 for a family of 4 pkg, my daughter and her husband want to go and for two people it was around 2,000 some thing they charge more for just two maybe you could find two friends that want to go along and take advantage of family of 4 pkg deals they have.

Hope you make it to your trip good luck

  15. Start saving money now!  Cut out all luxury items including pay TV, movies, Starbucks, internet services, game rentals, ice cream, soda pop, candy, etc.

Hey, if you're gonna have a kid you'll be going back to Disney World anyway.  Why not wait till the kid is 6 years old?

  16. check the Disney website. then check with a travel agent. if you stay on Disney property, the perks might be worth the extra money.

    * you won't have to drive to the parks. they provide free transportation between their hotels and the parks. saves money on gas and parking. their free transportation runs about every 15-30 minutes. plus you save on gas money.

*is you do bring your own car or rent a car, because you are staying at a Disney hotel, you don't have to pay for parking.

    * on certain days, you can have early or late access to certain parks. that is an hour before regular ticket holders are allowed in. you can get a lot done in that first hour.

Non Disney hotels might offer shuttles to the parks however, they are few and far between. you have to go the park on their schedule. might reduce the amount of time you can spend at the park.

a travel agent could work in trying to get you a better deal as far as staying off property. sometimes hotels that are close the parks are not as full as the Disney hotels and will offer same or better quality rooms for less.

you can go directly to the Disney website and try to get a quote from them. also you can order a free dvd that will show you more about the parks.

last, you can shop around and try to book your own vacation. this is a nice option if you like to have complete control over everything. but might be just as expensive.

you should check out www.allearsnet.com for information on planning a disney world vacation.

  17. Check there website, see if they have discounts, get a loan, or ask the parents for some money. If not, get a job, and wait till next summer.

  18. Well, hurricane season is June 1 through November 30, so, you should plan to go in January or February. The weather's cooler, but, it rains a lot less and things are way cheaper. You should check websites for deals and packages. Look for packages that include park hopper passes and hotels with pools (then you might be able to skip the waterpark).
