I own a business..a few doors down from us a woman who owns a religious store is going out of business. The location is prime for my store and the building seems to kept up better..more parking etc. I want to know what she is paying for rent so I can know if I can move my store there. I don't want to wait too long because it's a really good spot...what should I do? Ask her what she pays? How can I do that nicely??

  1. you could inquirer who the landlord is and find out that way...at least then they know you are interested

  2. Those things happen all the time. Just go over to her nicely and be polite, tell her that you're sorry about her store, but you were just wondering how much she paid for rent. Make sure you talk to the landlord that way you will know if the landlord is trying to jack up the price or not.

  3. Find out who manages/owns the store and inquire. The rent will probably be different from what she is paying now.

  4. You can bet that you'll be paying more rent than she.  Dont ask her....wait for the FOR SALE/LEASE sign and call that number.

  5. Hurry and asks , before its gone.

  6. find out who owns the building and ask them .............it shows your interested ...................she may get it at a nominal rent due to the type of store it is ................

  7. You need to work with the landlord.  No matter what she was paying, the landlord can charge whatever he wants.

  8. I say find out who she rents from and call them directly. That way you won't have to worry about her getting all red in the face if or when you ask her and she becomes offended for nothing...

  9. I'd call the landlord...he might not charge you the same fee as her.
