How can I ask the manager of a restaurant.....?

if they want to buy Avocados that I am selling?

What would be the best way to ask?

  1. just saying i'm selling avocados and will you be interested in buying some? its that simple.  


  2. You have to sell yourself and be competitively priced with where ever they are buying from now. Pitch that you are local and they are home grown therefore a better quality.

  3. restaurants have contracts to purchase their produce, etc.

    this person cannot simply start buying your produce because it is not up to the manager alone, but is usually determined by the owner (and put in writing)

  4. take them a couple of free samples and tell them how much you are selling them for

  5. If this is a serious and ongoing business that you have, ask him how he does his purchasing and if he's interested in looking at your avocados. If he isn't, ask him if he knows of any organization for restaurant managers in your area that you could approach. If he says not now, ask him if it's ok that you check back with him in a few months' time? Be friendly yet insistent, let him know that you are serious. Is there a chamber of commerce that you might be able to help you out?
