How can I attach a faceted gemstone like sapphire to bead caps? Or what is the proper way

I wanna make a necklace and there are no holes to string these gemstones.

  1. I would use a bell cap and use G-S Hypo Cement, which you can find at Michaels, Hobby Lobby or another local craft store. You might try looking at Walmart.  If you still want to try your bead cap idea, try putting a headpin up through the cap so you can make a loop at the top, to string it. If the headpin goes through the hole and your cap is big enough, try putting a small bead on the headpin before putting on the headpin through the cap. Then try gluing your gem to the cap. If you can't find the suggested glue, I sometimes use regular super glue in my jewelry. You could try hot glue, make sure it's a small amount so it doesn't show. Hope it turns out for you.




  2. Is there any way to use a hot glue gun or would it be overly visible? I use a hot glue gun occasionally when adding gemstones to the earring posts I make.
