I tried to send to my group an email with a document attachment. The message was sent but it seems that the attachment was not delivered. How can we solve this problem?

  1. if it was the file type or size, it would have been returned to sender and not any part of it gone to the group-

if the attachment wont save to the group, you have to know for sure it didn't go into the inboxes- it depends on if you're a group owner or member too, as to editing group settings if it doesn't allow attachments.

    owner:

management- under group settings click messages- Posting and Archives (Edit) <-- click edit- 4th coumn ditribute- click save changes-

    member:

    on home page to left

    Home

    Messages

    Post

    Files

    Photos

    Links

    Polls

    Calendar

    Info

Settings  <------- click and see if attachments are allowed

  2. There may be two reasons:

    a) Are there types of attachments that aren’t allowed?

    b) Can I block email attachments from reaching group members? How?

For the second issue you can contact the owner and want him or her to change this option. The owner's address should look like this: GROUPNAME-owner@yahoogroups.com
