I am an upcoming senior who is taking three AP classes: Bio, Us history, and calc ab. I was wondering how I can fit my social life and community service hours while still maintaining my grade point average. As of now I am way behind in service hours , so I am asking what is the best way to organize myself.

  1. Set up a routine...and set aside time for everything. If you have time slots for what you are going to do, and you are correctly motivated, you should have no trouble balancing anything. Maybe you should keep your social life for weekends only...and study every day on the weekdays (and weekends when necessary). Community Service can be fit into weekend times when you aren't busy with studying OR social life! It might sound complicated, but once you get it setup, it isn't so bad...hope that helped.

  2. AP does not consume your life, it is actually a good indication of college work. You need to jump in first, and see your strengths and weaknesses. You will not have as much free time as you have now, know that. You're going to need an organizer, for sure, to plan ahead. Set up 30-45 minutes per AP class EVERY NIGHT!! It's reasonable, whether you have homework or not, use it to study/review. That's key, persistence. Good luck!

  3. Try to emphasize your social life and community service hours over teh weekends and on school vacation time./
