How can I be a better actress?

Im about 2 get my acting career started, but I want 2 be really good so i can lift it off the ground. If u no any books or websites please tell me and tips, too!

What a refreshing question after all the 'I am so pretty, sweet, dainty and talented and I need an agent' questions!  You do indeed need to be really good to get it going.  Now, you need lots and lots of acting experience in plays at school and in the community.  You need some acting classes at professional studios. when these two things add up to an impressive reasume, you need to look for an agent.  But never stop acting at every opportunity, and take an acting class as often as you can, always makeing your resume more and more impressive. You only need to read three books to get going as an actor: Acting for the Camera by Tony Barr (also good for stage acting), Acting as a Business by Brian O'Neill --these two are cheap, used in paperback at Amazon.com or bookfinder.com--and The Tao of Acting, my free book on how to prepare for a career in acting. Tips: don't get in a hurry to make it, it takes a long time: beware of scams. Always ask here if you are not sure of something being legit.
