How can I be a rubix cube for Halloween?

Any ideas on how to make it? I think I will use a box but I am not sure what I will use for the squares. Should I cut them out individually? And do you think there is any way to make it look as if I have turned part of it?

You can cut out different squares of color (fabrics, construction paper, actual colored paper...) and hot glue gun them to the box, or you can take a ruler and color the squares via paint on a white sheet of paper directly and then glue the big white paper to the box with the colors facing outwards (if you do this, it would be best to color them on a big white sheet of paper because if you color directly on the box, the colors won't be as bright).

To make it look turned, you can take the box and cut it into sections. Place the sections ontop of each other whichever way that you want (like turn some, leave the others straight, whatever you like) and then glue the sections together so that they stay like that.

How about getting a large box where you can put over your body--and take balloons and arrange them like the cube?!

What a unique idea! I would take a large box and with a black marker and ruler draw out your squares. You would then paint each square whichever color. You could easily mox up the colors to look "turned." I would also take black electrical tape and tape over your lines thus making straight edges after painting. Good luck.

how about a bunch of boxes? with the construction paper or something on the bottoms of each.

That way you can set the angle of the center row the way you want it. do the set construction with like duct tape on the inside. Paint all parts that you don't want the cubes faces showing matte black.

Construction paper for the squares....you can put 3-4 pieces together to get a big enough square.  Just attach them randomly all over the box to make it look like it has been turned.
