  1. Stress and worry are useful.  They help us do what we need to do.  Without them (guilt too) babies would starve, puppies would p**p everywhere, the economy would collapse, to do lists would never even be written.  Just embrace the feelings as "normal" and useful.

  2. Discover what stress's you.... be very specific  ..and resolve the issue's....

  3. meditate.

    It really will help.

Get a video or book! wee.

  4. I used to be like this. i went to therapy and took medication. the medication had bad side effects so I stopped. still in therapy. now whenever I get stressed i do breathing exercises or run and try to put things in proportion. it might also be genetic, some people are more prone to it, so you can't totally get away from it. you have to regulate it like it's a chronic illness, and when it starts immediately do something that makes it better. seek professional help.

  5. You could try meditation or mindfulness training. Studies have found that mindfulness training causes changes in brainwave functioning and reduces stress. Neurofeedback which literally trains brainwaves may help you too. It has been around for the last ten or so years and is gaining a lot of credibility. If you find that you have a lot of anxiety and perhaps even some tendencies to ruminate or to obsess neurofeedback can help by targeting the area that produces excess brainwaves. For example, the anterior cingulate gyrus is thought to be responsible for anxiety, depression, OCD. Training that area of your brain might significantly reduce your anxiety and stress and help you better self regulate your emotions. Increasing alpha waves in your brain will induce a more meditative state and also make you feel more centered and in control. I think it's a fascinating treatment and it might help you.
