I have recently signed up to be a mark. representative. I love the cosmetics and purchase so frequently I figured I was ideal to be one.

I have a part time job I work on fri,sat ,sun. All these shifts are 12 hours so doing parties on weekends is out of question. I did get my own estore though.

I bought buisness cards and gave to my husband to hand out to clients ( he is a banker) and to my sister ( nail tech)

I just wondered if anyone who is mark rep could give me some helpful hints on how to be as successful as I can be. I am doing this as a part time gig on weekdays and have plenty of time to do marketing on mon thru thurs.

Please help!

Thank you!

  1. Give free incentives to your potential clients.  I give away 3 days / 2 nights vacations to anyone I come in contact with.  You can get an idea as to what I'm talking about by visiting: http://www. unselfishwealthtoday.com/3days.htm  You can get a free vacation on me and at the same time look over their program.  They have this neat cards that you can pass out to prospective clients and they must sign-up at your website.  You get their name and email address and they you can contact them for follow-up referals.  The cards are wonderful! Everyone wants something for free and this is perfect for business referals.

    Hope this helps!

  2. There are some excellent on line courses that you can take once you are a Mark representative that are created by Mark/Avon that go step by step into marketing, sales, etc. Your area director can also loan you a display that you can use for parties.  Carry your brochures, cards, and some samples with you all the time and hand them out like crazy.  The Mark product line is geared more a younger age range so think out of the box.  Go to the meetings that your area sales director has to meet other Mark reps for ideas. The parties don't have to be on the weekend either!  You could do a mid week cocktail/mocktail party and do a very quick presentation, giveaway samples, take orders...all under 1 hour.
