  1. Well, by doing exactly what you really want to do, listen to what you really want to listen to.

But you're already unique, for everyone is. You can't be 100% unique, though. You're always going to have something in common with other people.

  2. The combination of all the things that make you, you.  separately, the things that are made up of make you the same as everyone else but all together they make you an individual.

  3. Dude, everyone is unique.. In their own ways.

  4. You're already unique, so if that's how you define "individualist", I suppose all you'd really need to do is consciously realize that you already are.

But if you like flaunting your distinctiveness to the world, try becoming an entertainer. Stand-up comedy, magic tricks, acting, singing - whatever you can do to express yourself. Even if you never make it big in any of these, at least those who know you will know the true you.

  5. You already are.

    No change is necessary.

What you want to avoid is following the crowd on most everything in life.

  6. sorry, not a phil. Q

  7. you already are!

  8. Probably by not worrying about being an individualist, or any other monicker someone might want to stick on you.  Try not to blindly follow, but be skeptical.

An individual may run with the pack, or choose not to.  Making those choices based on your beliefs and principles is what makes you the individualist.
