How can I be confident at school?

Please give me examples, such as what to do at the cafeteria when there's a huge line, or what to do in lessons when we're put in group work bla bla.

Don't say the obvious (smile, stand straight, talk loud & clear etc.)

If you answer seriously, you will be more likely to get the 10 points (:

Thanks

  1. Ok- when put in a group, don't act pushy and say LET'S DO THIS! Instead, wait and see if anyone elese takes charge or lighlty put suggestions in- like say ' what about ; hey, we could ; maybe we should' stuff like that. Always smile genuinely and when taking compliments I think it's best to say 'Thanks, it's really nice of you to say that' and smile. Coz if you say like' what this thing?, I got it in the sales' people will think you have soo much money or too little.

Make eye contact with people and say stuff like ya mean it *grrr*

Also, some good practice is going out- when you're on the streets, say 'Good Morning' to randome people it will help build your confidence with talking to people. Try making clubs and stuff.

  2. What you need to do is believe that your confident because it really works because that confidence that you believe you have will shine through your eyes.. seriously it does my friends always tell me my eyes like sparkle but yeah that works you can also make yourself beautiful in your point of view because when you think your beautiful everyone else can tell and will also think you are very beautiful.

Try those tricks really its just all in your head if you believe you can be......

    :]] be happy !

    hope i helped.

  3. Try smiling and saying hi to someone

  5. My tips are:

    - Practice being confident at home; try looking in the mirror and imagine a conversation at school, like when you need to make a group decision. What is your honest opinion? Say it aloud in the mirror, and look at any flaws (e.g., blushing or constant hair adjusting) and try to work on them.

    - When raising a point, do not allow yourself to say "Er", "Uh..", "Maybe", or any words that make your point loose affect.

    - When you go out for meals (Good cafeteria practice), state what you want from the menu clearly, don't leave it to whoever you're with to say what.

    - Imagine the worst case scenario: what would you have to do? what is the best thing to brush up on?

    - Practice public speaking

    - Try to be very out going, and positive, this way people will believe you are a confident person, even if you are not.

    - And now the obvious, Smile at people you don't know (It has a lasting effect). Stand or sit with a straight back- it just oozes confidence. Clarity is probably a very important one, just dont go overboard with it.

  6. if i was you i would try and talk to people but not really quite but not to loud and if you have to practice what your going to say before you say it i no it sounds stupid but it helped my Friend and also answer people when they ask you something and if your in the canteen que go with some Friends if your in a group of people contribute to the work but don't just do it all on your own and your confidence will grow

  7. You should try to express your feeling and be more talkative. That helps me a lot when I'm with other people and just be yourself.

  8. Well ofcourse No. 1 is to smile. But firstly erase all negative self talk, pay particular attention to your personal hygiene and presentation. knowing you look your best will promote your confidence. Make idle chat with positive people (not just the most popular). Stay positive and the world will be your oyster!

  9. if you are standing on a long lunch line, make the best of it. you never know who is standing around you, so make a joke, small talk, whatever the case may be. Just be yourself, and your true character will shine though!

  10. if you're working in a group you should just automatically talk to them say hi and give them a compliment or something like that,if you're in highschool compare schedules and stuff it tends to make the convo go on longer.

If you're in a lunch line just smile and maybe talk to the person behind you about how crazy the line is,thats what i did and we're pretty good friends now.

  11. You should be yourself and find a good group of friends. Also wear clothes that you like and feel comfotable and look good in.
