I always feel self conscious about my body. I mean, I'm not fat. I weigh less than 110 pounds, and I am 5'3 and 3/4''. It's just that whenever I'm at the beach and stuff I feel really self conscious about my stomach and I usually leave my terry coverup dress on. And for some reason, when I'm at the beach, I always feel like everyone is staring at my stomach! How can I be less self conscious and more confident?

  1. Volunteer at your local hospital, perhaps working with children. It will put your idea of beauty in perspective.

  2. think of everyone else as something they are not but only you know they are, in this case you will feel better knowing they are not. Eg. think of them all covered in something disgusting which you are not.

  3. There is nothing wrong about caring about your personal image, but dont let it over take your thought.

Society wil state if your pretty/fat/thin/tall/small or whatever and I suspect that person who you think is staring at you is also thinking why are they staring at me. I would say the best thing is to be aware that we all have our faults but enjoy ur body and show it off its the only one uve got.

Also by being confident people dont really look at how you are but how u act, A s**y woman can be thin or fat. Its how she acts that the "alure" as you would say.

Best to just relax and enjoy your life, if your bothered by your stomach do some light situps and take pleasure in knowing that your trying to improve your figure your stand up straighter because your have more confidence and this will then have a double effect as it will imporve your figure.

    All the best

  4. Someone once told me, you judge yourself because you judge others.  Pay close attention  to how  you see others, to understand your own ways of thinking.
