How can I be more fascinating?

Yes, weird question. But, as I've stated in other questions, I'm giving myself a complete makeover, starting September 1st (cause I'm like OCD like that, I like to start stuff on Mondays and on the 1st of the month. LOL)

But anyway, my makeover is extending to me as a person. Don't get me wrong, I have high self esteem, I like who I am. But, I feel like I can be kinda boring. And awkward. Someone can ask me what my interest are, and I can think of any. But like 10 minutes later I think of tons. O.o

I don't really do much outside of school, and I want to get more involved in...life in general. This is my junior year of high school, and I don't want to remember my high school years as being boring and me being nerdy. (I'm not that nerdy, just a little)

How can I develop new interests and interact more? What are some ideas for things that I might be interested in doing? I don't do anything with my friends outside of school. I only go places with my parents. I want to get more involved with my friends.

How can I become less awkward, develop cool interests and hobbies, and get more involved with my friends? (I'm just now making new friends, because my friends from last year aren't in my classes this year)

I love to read, and I'm thinking about being a movie director when I grow up. I'm into art, though I can't draw. And I love fashion, makeup, etc. So please give me things to do that you think I might like.

NOTE: I'm not a loser or anything. I do have friends. I'm just not very involved, and I would like to change that. I'm turning 17, and I feel like it's time to start getting more involved and be more independent from my parents. Thanks everyone!

This statement you made tells me alot about you. You really try hard to make a good impression and want people to like you right away. Relax and be yourself. People will decide what they think of you regardless....people nowadays tend to be shallow and egotistical in general (opinion). Why don't you join a theatre group or take acting classes if that is your "passion". I have never cared what people think of me. I am a worthy person regardless...and so are you. Enjoy life on your terms and not anyone elses. Good luck to you my friend, may all of your dreams come true.
