  1. I had the same problem!  I found what works it putting folders in all your binders (for loose paper and notes) and color-coding your binder and books, so you never accidently grab the wrong book.  And a HUDGE thing that helped was a universal binder (or whatever you want to call it).  Its a binder you take to all class and home too.  I take it everywhere and put my homework in it, so when I get home, I dont have to worry about forgetting my homework because its at school, becaus ei will have it in the universal binder

  2. First you need to find a system that works for you. The same way of organizing things doesn't always work for everyone. For example, I know people who can just shove their papers into a notebook or bag and they are fine, and others can't. ON the flip side, I know people who are super organized with a ton of binders etc. and others who can't keep track of so many things.

First off, either tape up your notebooks, or get new ones. FOlders and binders are extremely helpful. I would get a binder per class, or one for every two classes. Put EVERY PaPER you get, that means every homework assignment, every test paper, every essay, every handout, every note into that binder. It is so much easier to find things when they are all in the same place. Getting a small three-hole punch (if you use binders) is a good investment. They are only like 1.99 at places like Wal Mart and you can tuck them in your backpack. You are much more likely to keep a binder organized if you can hole punch and put in papers the second you get them.

If a class doesn't really need a binder, folders are a good alternative. If you use folders, spend the extra 10 cents and buy the plastic coated ones- they will last much more wear and tear for much longer.

Some people find notebooks really helpful. If you are finding your notes to be out of order, get one notebook for class for notes ONLY. You can get another one for hw, etc. but if notes are the only thing you put in that notebook, then they will stay much more organized. Highlight important headings in your notes, even put page numbers on them if you have to. If a page of notes falls out, glue it back in, don't just shove it into the notebook.

If your bag will not hold all these binders etc. get a homework folder. The key to making this work is that one pocket is not done, one is done. After an assignment is completed, or a handout is not needed for hw, PUT IT IN THE BINDER FOR ITS CLASS. The biggest problem w/ the hw folder system, for me atleast, is i just tend to leave papers in there, and pretty soon the folder is a bursting mess.

Some people find it helpful to color code their supplies: i.e. the same color folder, pen, notebook, binder, book cover, etc. for the same class.

    I hope that helped =]

  3. the main thing to keeping clean is to start the year with an orgainized backpack and locker, and take a minute per day to clean it.

The first week of school, put EVERYTHING into folders, binders or notebooks and orgainize it by class. (For example, put all of your math homework in your green notebook and all your english notes in the red binder.)

Have a backpack with a few pockets. In one of the pockets, put about 3 pencils and 3 pens, a hilighter, etc, but just the stuff you need. Have another pocket for your stuff(like cellphone, ipod, etc.)

The first few days of school organize your backpack and memorize where everything goes. From then on, remain organized. Whenever you have to put a paper or pencils away, put it in the right place, so u know where it is the next time you want to use it. Although it will take a few seconds to put a pen away (and that might seem like forever to you), u will b grateful when u dont need ten minutes to search for it next period.

At the end of each day, take a minute or to to put everything back into it's folder, or pocket that you stuffed into ur backpack that day!

After a while you will b calm, organized, and happy! Good luck!

  4. your the same age as my little sister and she is also entering the eighth grade.  She has a problem with organization to.  I bought her a different binder for every class she has.  Make sure they are different colors.  Get dividers for all your binders.  in each binder have a homework section, note section, and any previous tests or quizzes that you take put in the last section.  For every color binder have the same color notebook to match.  Also have the same color highliter  to match for marking notes in your textbook for that class.  Example. For science class get a red binder, red folder, red highliter, and red notebook.  I am in college now and still use this method and find it extremely helpful.

  5. me 2!!! Right on!

Just use a 3 ring binder, with dividers

    create one section for trash

like the little "WINTER DANCE TONIGHT" papers...

and get one of those pouches to put ur pencils and stuff in

If u have a pencil sharpener, Empty it everytime ur near a trash can

REMEMBER to put ur homework in ur binder if ur not doing it!

  6. Use an agenda book or student planner.  You have to use it DILIGENTLY.  Write everything you need to do or look up in it.  This will help you greatly!!

Also, get a small notebook or folder for each class -- or use a binder with dividers and folders.

Put everything where it goes when you get it.

    Good luck!

  7. The biggest favor I ever did for myself was to get a folder (it can be one of the thirty-five cent kind) for homework- one side for new homework, the other for completed assignments.

Get a spiral binder for each subject and some dividers. For each subject, break the binder into sections (Tests/Quizzes, Homework, Essays, etc.), and further organize that by date.

Buy a planner if your school doesn't provide one. USE IT!!!

Buy a pencil bag. It doesn't sound like much, but it's a billion times easier to do homework when you already have your pens, pencils, etc. rounded up when you start homework instead of having to rummage around for one.

  8. Keeping a Schedule of your homework, exams and projects due dates is a nice start. Be sure that you have a schedule that show the entire week so you can study and plan in advance.

Now if you have problems with concentration use the "Divide and Conquer" technique. First begin with a paragraph, all your attention to it. Once you're through, do something else. Then after 5 minutes of R&R, return to the next paragraph and get 5 minutes of R&R, after three times of this, go for the page. Slowly build up your concentration technique to one that adjusts to your pace.

Also, find what time of day you're most lucid, it can be early morning or after lunch, and use that time to study the tougher subjects. As with everything that's worth it, this will require constant practice and patience, but the results are worth it.

  9. easy, buy a portfolio folder, it is a folder, that has many pockets. you will have one for each subject, and any other stuff you need.

Have a designated pocket in your backpack, or have a pencil pouch. this will make sure, you always have a pen or pencil.

keep your notebooks in your book, then you will always know where notes are.

    GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!

  10. Agendas. They are amazing. Without it, I'd be completely lost!

  11. get a folder!

Lmao thats what im doing. I am the most unorganized monkey on the planet also going into 8th.
