Okay I Just started my Sophomore year Monday and all of the people I used to talked aren't in any of my classes. So far I take honors classes and Geometry and I'm in there with nothing but 11th and 12th graders and I guess I become intimidated by what people think of me when I really shouldn't and I start acting shy and I just be quiet and keep to myself. I want to talk to people and get to know people but it's hard for me sometimes and I really need to work on that. So can anybody offer any advice on how I can come out of my shell?

  1. get a hobby which you can talk to people about or find something in common with them. it gives you something to start talking about.

  2. There are a lot of books on how to talk to people and make friends.  Ask  your librarian to help you find them.

How to Win Friends and Influence People is a classic that has been in print for many decades.  Check out the other books mentioned on this Amazon page.  http://tinyurl.com/64btc8
