  1. just set limits.  dont do anything you wouldnt have your friends do.   its okay to lead, but sometimes its best if you let others take control for a little while.  but dont always be the follower.  dont do stupid stuff just because ur friends are.

  2. Beng considerate is what defines a nice person. Considerate means being aware of other peoples' emotions, position, history and personality. But that does not mean that you let other people walk all over you. You can say no, you can be independant and you can choose to disagree, as long as you are considerate of the other person.

  3. If someone asks you a favor and you don't want to do it, don't make an excuse. Tell the truth. (I know it sounds cliche, but it's a very underestimated method.) Just say "I really don't want to." or "that's not really my thing. Let me help you find someone else to help you with that."  You don't owe an explanation. After all, you're an adult. You can make choices on your own without pressure from others. Don't let others push you around, but be nice. Do as much as you feel good about doing. No more, No less.

Sometimes a friend will take it too far. "Why not? You're not doing anything! C'mon!"

a simple "I'm sorry, No." should suffice. If that doesn't work, act annoyed a bit. they'll get the hint and understand that you will not be pushed around.

                                                         Good luck!!
