How can I be popular in 8th grade ??

I really wanna be popular this upcomeing year... Last year I was but alot of people hated me PLUS it was all the way in another state & things are def different here!!!!!! please tell me how!!!!

Let me put it straight.

It's not even your choice whether or not you're going to be popular, unless you are "fake" or a jerk.  It's awful I know, but it's true (I was recently in eighth grade)  Just be nice, and people should notice.  Don't be too nice though.  Actually, never mind that.  Be yourself, that's whats most important in eighth grade, and it will keep you happy as well.  If you try too hard to be popular, you could put unneeded stress on yourself and you may fall in with the wrong crowd or even "forget who you are".  Just beee youuuurself.
