'ello. :)

I'm planning on playing softball early next year.

and I wanna be prepared.

I can already hit the ball.

But how can I get better and become more of a home-run hitter?

Any misc tips about softball in general?

  1. stick to hitting hard line drives swing down on the ball.

but if you really wanna be a home run hitter its all in the  hips swing down on the ball and rotate your hips quickly thats where you generate most of your power

but please stick to hitting line drives!

  2. Well, if you try to become a home run hitter, i wouldnt expect to play very much. just stick with hitting the ball. stay relaxed and just swing easy, the ball with travel

  3. practice makes perfect

  4. bat speed you gotta have good bat speed in order to hit the ball far and hit home runs plus having good bat speed will mean you can wait on the ball and hit faster pitching. you get your bat speed from your forarms. do curls and reverse curls. you can also get a 5 lb weight and tie a rope to it and roll it up with you arms straight out. that will help a ton. Here's a workout find a bat a few ounces heavier and swing that about 10-12 times and then switch to lighter one and swing that about 10-12 times and then swing the heavy one and then the light one and then one last time switch to the heavy bat after you're done with that swing your normal bat 10-12 times try this and in about 6 weeks you will see that swinging is easier good luck
