I'm 14 and live in gateshead/newcastle, and I've always been interested in voice acting. I've tried kidztalk, but they can't work with me as I live too far away. Does anyone know of any companes that would take on an untrained inexpierianced voice actor in the gateshead/newcastle area?

  1. You have to get noticed, try and contact www.voiceovers.co.uk and see if you can get on the aspiring voice overs section. You would probably have to record a demo tape.

  2. try www.voice123.com

it's a completely internet-based voiceover agency, all demos etc are done online.  you might have to buy/hire/borrow a decent microphone, but you also have the advantage of being your own agent, no commission fees to be paid.

it's very important that you can read "cold", so start practising reading unknown texts without mistakes.

    good luck!
