How can I become a community organizer?

Im 16 and I want to improve low income, inner-city communites, but I feel like I don't know where to start. I also want to start a non-profit organization. Should I do that first?

You should first become involved with an non-profit organziation in order to learn the skills of the trade so to say. Since you want to improve lower income communities you could start of with "Habitat for Humanity", local Red Cross, etc. Good luck.
