How can I become a federal agent?

I am in highschool and want to be a federal agent. I want to be involved in counter-terrorism most likely. What agencies should I consider joining if I want to be involved in Counter-Terrorism? I want to do field work. What will I need to study in college? Should I join the Army to get my training?

look into Department of Homeland Security and FBI.

to get into DHS you only need to be 21, but you will make a better candidate if you have a four year degree. the FBI requires a four year degree in specified fields (language, foreign affairs, etc). look at their recruitment websites for more details.

the best advice i can give is stay out of trouble and avoid stupid situations. any background investigator will understand that kids drink and try drugs in college and highschool, but avoid doing ANY hard drugs. the less sh*t you do as a kid the less will come back to haunt.
