  1. running is important. you should run long distance and sprints on different days of the week. do sit-ups, pull-up, push-ups, squats (no weights), squat-thrusts, lunges (no weights), flutter kicks, knees to elbows, jump-rope. At your age it is best not to lift weights at all. you won't need to for a while as long as you do enough of the above types of exercise. go to crossfit.com for more ideas. they have an exercise of the day which you can use as a guideline. most of the days they will be beyond you but can still be used as a guideline. for example one exercise of the day was 100 of pull-ups, push-ups, and sit-ups. I don't have a pull-ups bar and couldn't do that many pull-ups anyway so instead I broke it up like this...  .25 on treadmill, 20 push-ups, 20 sit-ups, and 20 squats and 5 sets of this.

As for boxing itself you need to go to a gym and work with a trainer. If you are really interested go to amateurboxing.com and send an email she will be able to find you a good trainer wherever you live.

  2. First off if you don't know anything about boxing I wouldn't be using that bag too much because you'll probably hurt your wrists. Do knuckle push ups to help strengthen your knuckles and wrists, also sit on your knuckles putting all your weight on them. A grip master might be a good idea too. You could put yourself out for good if you ruin your hands. You need a coach, and a boxing gym. You need to be properly trained.

For cardio, do burpees, jump rope and 800m sprints. Jump rope will help a lot with your foot work. You should also be doing a lot of calisthenics or light weight training, don't try and build a lot of muscle, that will weigh you down. A fast boxer is better than a strong boxer. You definitely need to train your core too, do the plank, and chinnies, weighted sit ups etc. You will need to train your neck, neck isometrics or a neck brace are good. Basically to be a GOOD BOXER you need to train every inch of you.

  3. Hire Emanuel Steward or Buddy McGirt.

  4. train, train, train, and most importantly, TRAIN, dont get sloppy either, when hitting you punching bag, dont just try to punch at it, punch through it, extend your whole arm when you throw punches, that helps put snap in your punches

  5. hey man your young just stay focused heres two routines one for the week and weekends

m-f run 3 miles and then 2 miles of road work sprinting up hill etc on (weekends add a mile to each)

sit ups thats up to you. 300 a day is more than enough some proffesionals do up 3,000. try doing a 1000 on the weekend see how it feels make sure you have something under you.

push ups everyday weekends include..3 sets of 50 pushups twice daily build up to it and yes knuckle make sure you dont rub your knuckles after words you can hurt the nerves that are moving away the bone

thats the basic- once you can do this consitantly get a jump rope and do 8 rounds daily. once your 17 get a trainer and you can become a pro in about 1 good luck

  6. get a trainer and a good gym
