Hey everyone, Now I have been becoming more and more outraged at the direction in which the US is moving in, with illegal wars, violation of constitutional rights, warrantless searches, and ignoring the voice of the people of the United States of America, and I want to do something to try to change this. I'm turning 17 in about a week, and I'll be a senior in high school. And I want to know what I can do to become a part of the solution to the scum that now runs our country. I want to do something.

So, let me hear what you guys have to say.

"The constitution is just a piece of paper"

  1. Check out moveon.org

  2. Meet any active politician.

  3. Your desire for political activism is admirable. That you are able to see the constant erosion of our Constitutional rights speaks to your awareness of current events. While in high school do what you can to organize like thinkers

into a political action group, support candidates who hold a similar point of view, campaign for their election. (I was addressing post-cards and slapping bumper stickers on cars by the age of 12.) Do the same sort of thing when you get to college. But to make a significant difference in America's political direction and tenor, LEARN, LEARN, LEARN.

  4. Try joining a club that pertains to that in high school. if they don't have one, make one. There are also probably other people like you right next to you. Keep current on local news as well.

  5. Alternate currencies for citizens designed by laser printers and computer imaging. Denominations with designs reflecting that of trades. Separate designs for each trade done by trades people to exchange with other citizens or non citizens.

Laser printers and computer imaging to make. Also if this is something you want to do stage Tree Deaths. Dig holes and represent a forest then act out how the tree feels  to be chopped down. Remove chemicals from around trees. Protest the use of chemical fertilizers. Also put to use your knowledge of which trees should go where and plant them together if this has not already been done.
