  1. Stop eating meat and things cooked with meat fat, thats how.  You are never too young to start a different diet.  But remember to eat a lot of beans and things with protein to sub for meat.

  2. vegetable has no side effect and its the best food. and its difficult to eat for the first time and after there is no problem. it will become your habit

  3. um lets see... becoming a vegetarian should be from believing in being against animal abuse, not wanting to lose weight. It's not about that, or how young you are, it's what you believe in... a vegetarian strays away from meat products like chicken, beef, fish, etc... peanut butter, tofu, veggie burgers, nuts, and fake meats are good for protein, and loads of fruit and veggies as well as whole grains. You are even too young to be thinking about losing weight, you need to focus more on being slim and fit and healthy. Find what you believe in.

  4. No one is ever too young to become a vegetarian. I started at 7, and it's worked for me! If you want to become a healthy (key word) vegetarian, you have to get a lot of protein in your system, because without meat, you can't get enough. To get protein, either 1. eat boiled eggs 2. eat tofu or 3. eat a lagoom and a grain together. Drink milk, too. You're growing, and you need that. If you want to start slowly, first cut out red meat, then all white meat except chicken, and then finally reduce your intake of chicken until your body is used to having no meat in its system. On the other hand, go all out and cut meat out completely. While I do not know if it would help you lose weight (that's all up to you; you could eat ice cream until you burst and still be vegetarian), if you eat right, and stay away from fast food chains, A. You will have more energy B. You won't feel guilty about eating meat and C. You can annoy the lunch ladies. Good luck, and I hope you will join the intricate web of vegetarians all over the world!

  5. Being a vegetarian has nothing to do with beliefs. If you will simply eat a lot of veggies and fruits and eliminate all meat products, you'll do fine. Being a vegetarian helps your body to regulate it's weight. You should remain at the optimum weight for your body at all times. If you need some help in getting some recipes to prepare, get some books by Dea Ornish. You will feel better and have more energy, but it will take a few weeks or months to overcome the desire for meat. Just hang in there and it will be great.

  6. People can be healthy vegetarians from conception to very advanced ages

If you need meat or dairy during any stage of your life or to live any certain lifestyle, why does the American Dietetic Association say otherwise?

Vegetarians do not eat animals are byproducts of their slaughter.

Cows, chickens, fish, shrimp and clams are all animals.

If you want to know why most vegetarians make that choice, you could get a very thorough idea by watching Earthlings.

Bread, pasta, cereal, rice, beans, peas, lentils, nuts, seeds, fruits and veggies can easily offer everything that you need except B12.

All vegetarians should take a B12 supplement regularly since most people eat meat, dairy AND fortified cereals yet still have a B12 status that is lower than recommended.

It may help you if you see proof that vegetarian people have the same potential as anyone else.

  7. i dont think your too young, im 15 and im a vegetarian....first off to become vegetarian cut out all the meat in your diet...you can use dairy prodcuts and all that just nothing like, chicken, beef, fish, etc (basically anything that was once alive) Make sure you get enough protein...things such as nuts, beans and nutrition bars that contain soy protein  are rle good you...also you should go food shopping and get prodcuts such a veggie burger, nuggets and meatless things like that...there actually pretty tasty & have a lot less fat, calories & cholestoral than regular meat...& ur losing weight question, there actually was a study that vegetarians are noramlly lighter and have less fat. i have lost a some weight since becoming vegetarian....also not eating meat keeps you away from most fast food chains since there mostly meat but make sure you balence your diet.i actually have to take a vitamin b-12 suppelment since i dont eat meat so just make sure u stay on top on your health...hope it helped =)

  8. I've been a vegetarian since I was 5 due to my mother being a strict vegetarian. What you must first understand is that there are many different levels of vegetarianism. A lacto-ovo vegetarian will still eat eggs, honey, and dairy. A lacto vegetarian will not eat meat or eggs, but still choose to eat dairy and honey. An ovo vegetarian will not eat meat or dairy but still consume eggs and honey. If you choose to go straight vegan, you will choose to not intake meat, dairy, eggs, or honey. Those are just some, for example, I am a pescetarianist, which means I exclude all types of meat, dairy, etc. besides fish. This is a very healthy choice! You need to just make sure to get your required proteins by substituting foods such as tempeh, tofu and other soy products into your diet. Your level of exercise will also depend on your bodies reaction to this sudden change. It definitely takes commitment, but it ultimately will make you a healthier person, and yes, depending on how much junk food and meat amounts you are currently intaking ( which should be cut out of the diet completely if trying to lose weight), will help you lose weight! I hope this helps and good luck! Allrecipes.com really helps me come up with a lot of vegan meals if you are looking for some affordable choices! Don't limit yourself to just salad and veggies, although those are great! :) Good luck!
