Question:

How can I become an Olympian?

I am 14 years old, and after watching the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, I have become really motivated to join the Olympics. I haven't put much thought into what sport I want to play, but Basketball and Swimming are my two favorite sports.

How should I train to become an Olympian? Am I too young/too old to start training?

My biggest concern is, I do not want training to get in the way of my education. My parents are really strict about me going to school and doing the best I can.. But I really want to train to win a medal for my country. What should I do?

  1. you are still very young so you still have a lot of time but you better not waste that time and start looking for coach who can not only motivate you  but show you the shortcuts to success.

btw don't listen to anyone who tells you that its too late to become an Olympian.

one of my cousin's relatives became world champion in horseback riding 11 years ago (at 40 something) even though he didn't start horseback riding until a relatively old age but he still did it.

btw if if your interested he was world champion in Endurance racing where they ride their horses for more than 100 miles.

one of my cousins friends is in the olympics now and he also rides horses (show jumping) but not long distance

good luck and when you become and Olympian please tell me

  2. You need to have talent, time and lots of money.

  3. you need dedication and time. fact is it wont be easy. you have to become the best at what you do. win competitions and go to the next level and win there. then maybe theyll consider you.
