How can I become an international student at a univeristy in the US?

Im from the UK and want to apply for a US university. Do i have to take any extra exams etc? Or do I just submit the grades for my A Levels and GCSEs?

a few of my friends have the same exact doubts as you do. I think a great way to know which universities in the US that will accept your A-level exams is by checking out the official site of Cambridge In'tl exams. Here's the link to help ya..

Just click on which state in the US you plan to study in and select the criteria you need.

They'll give ya wide list of universities and colleges in the US that will accept your A level exams.

Some US universities accept either the SAT or the ACT. If the college you want to attend doesn't have a preference, take the test that best matches your abilities. Check out http://www.universitylanguage.com/guides... for a comparison.

You'll need your A levels and GCSEs, but you'll also need to take the SAT exam, which is an entrance exam required by many US universities. It is given in the UK, so you can take it there. I'll link you to the website for the College Board, the company that administers this exam. They list out where and when you can take it in the UK, and also have sample exams, so you can see what the test is all about.

Each US university has a website where they explain what they require of foreign applicants. Check the sites for a couple of the unis that interst you. If you don't know where to start, try the sites for Boston University and for New York University as examples.
