Question:

How can I become less high strung?

I am annoyed by every little thing: my mom and boyfriend's loud chewing (they smack even when their mouths are closed), my brothers muffled tv and guitar playing in his room which is below mine, muffled music, people constantly clicking their pens and sniffing their noses... I try not to be so uptight and annoyed by these little things, but I can't! I take deep breaths, try to ignore them... but I can't! It is driving me insane. I especially hate muffled noises, where I can hear the tv or music but can only hear the base and mumbled voices.

Please. If anyone has any techniques, let me know! I am driving myself insane!

  1. Meditation is easy to do, free, and relaxing.  It will mellow you out.

    Search the Internet for instructions, or you might find some classes locally.

  3. Focus on what your life is going to be like when all these aggravations are no longer in it. Focus real hard on your dream and get on with achieving it as soon as you possibly can.  Best wishes for now & your future. UK
