Question:

How can I become more fluent?

by  |  earlier

I'm currently learning Spanish, and have been through a couple of semesters of college Spanish. My boyfriend is Mexican, and we speak Spanish to one another on occasion. I'm wondering, what are some good ways to REALLY increase my fluency? Obviously, talking to my boyfriend and his family is one way, how about some others?

(Also, feel free to answer entirely in Spanish -- I could use the practice!)

Thanks!

  1. go to mexico.  Honestly, it helped my spanish TREMENDOUSLY!  I'm pretty fluent now, so I know.   That is the super secret of successful language learning: full immersion, like baptism.  You see it everywhere, hear it everywhere, and by golly, you´ll speak it all the time.

    Entonces, vete a México.  La verdad, ¡me ayudó muchísimo!  Pues, ahora, hablo fluidamente, por eso ya sé.

    How about them apples?

  2. just try to practice spanish as many ways as you can.

    try websites && workbooks.

    if there is a website that you use regularly && you can change the language it is in into spanish, that is really helpful cause it helps you memorizing them easily by knowing what the headers or whatever mean already in english.

    practicing it is the only way you will become more fluent.

    try http://livemocha.com

  3. speak the languge during you know

    oh lopez tu erres muy bien hacer sexo

    just kidding.

    you could listen to more spanish news or something and take trips to mexico
