How can I become more focussed in a game of baseball?

It probably won't be easy at first, but after you get to know the game a little better, try to sort of guess what will happen. What the next pitch be a slider or a fastball? Will the hitter take on a 3-0 count, or will his manager give him the green light? Will there be a pitchout? An attempted steal? Doing this will sort of keep you more involved during the down time, and you will see that after a while you will actually get pretty good at anticipating what certain teams and players will do.

Pretend it's as if the team you are rooting for will perish if they lose the game. I know it sounds childish, but That's what I did for my little cousins games, It honestly did make it a lttle more fun, and seemed more important. :)

If you have a favorite team and know the players & their positions, it shouldn't be a problem. Granted, the game has a slow pace and sometimes it can be hard to stay focused, but if you really appreciate the game, you should be able to focus. If you can't-switch to Basketball, now thats at a much faster pace, if you're not already a Basketball fan that is.

Alright this is what I think.............

Just pay attention to the game and never change your channel. And always hope the pitcher(of your team) strikes out the opposing batters(that always helps me).

I usually pay attention when it's a good pitching match up. Most of the time I'm never really into the games if it's a bad pitching match-up.

But this only applies if I'm watching my fav team(or a good pitcher), or else I wouldn't care a bit to waste 3 hours of my life.
