How can I become more responsible? ?

I'm really irresponsible and I haven't done my summer homework yet. I also haven't cleaned my room, although I wanted to. I haven't learned anything about a lot of things I wanted to learn.

I don't like what I have to read for school, but I need some motivation to do it.

  1. well first... believe in yourself . Ask yourself... Can I do this?

If yes. then ask? why dont i? and dont just say.. because i dont want to...  think of why you dont want to? I think of how things will go. Like " oh 30 minutes ago I could have already did this and that and this too" so just do it and get it over with. Youll feel better about yourself and less stressed. and plus its fun cleaning. because you find memories lol.

I should have done that years ago. Because now I am stressing because I have to catch up on school and find a job and a car and college. and now everything is piled up on me and i dont know what to do. Trying to get myself back organized. So i think you should start!!! or youll be like me!! ha ha

  2. Well plan u're time rite like say this I will clean my room 4 1 hour and then I will take a 30 minutes it all depends on timing

  3. Simple ya ...  First create a goal or goals 2 b achieved . You may have personal , professional , financial goals , etc. Then work for achieving it.

Always try to be atleast one step smarter than others.Be a leader always . bye .......

  4. Think about the other people in the world who don't get anywhere near the opportunity of education you have. It all comes down to self discipline and responsibilty.

  5. Being responsible means that you do things that you need to do or want to do even when you don't feel like doing them. Think about your parents or other responsible people you know. Do you think your mom feels like cooking dinner every night? Do you think your dad feels like cutting the lawn every weekend? Do you think your parents feel like going to work everyday? Do you think they feel like paying bills or taking care of things  they are responsible for? What about people who seem to have it all together? Do you think they always feel like working hard? No. Absolutely not. I imagine that most of the time they want to goof off and have fun instead of committing themselves to work. But the bottom line is that the work needs to be done, and it's not going to get done if you sit around waiting for motivation. Motivation does not get work done. You getting up off of your butt and starting on a task gets the work done. When the work gets done, then you have taken responsibility. Trust me - as you get older you learn that there are a TON of things in life you don't want to do, but you have to become responsible if you want to get anywhere in life. The best way to get things done is to JUST DO IT! Just start, and the motivation to get it done will come naturally.

Also, remember that procrastination only contributes to stress. The mistake procrastinators make is that they think they will have no time for fun if they commit to working. So they let their work hang over their heads, depressing them, and before long they find themselves in a jam because they didn't get their stuff done when they should have. Actually, if you get your work done in a timely fashion, you'll find that you have more time to have fun, and you can have fun without worrying about all of that work you still have to do.
