How can I become more stealth-ish?

I want to be able to move about silently, and breathe quietly and have people not notice my pressence. How can I do this?

Here's a good wiki-how about it. It's an entire art, but depends heavily on what you are wearing as well. It's hard to be quiet in steel toe boots and you won't blend into wood brush in street clothes.
