How can I block the guy from calling me??

Question

Is there a way to block someone from calling you?

This guy keeps calling me wanting me to give him $10 and my credit card info, so he says he's gonna send me a form by mail and i give him a fake address and he calls back a lot of times saying he never got my money so i give him the fake address again.

Sometimes he says he is with the police department and collecting money for those who have died in battle or something like that...I don't believe him though, and he sometimes calls privately like a private number.

I'm a very nice person and don't like to hang up on people and sometimes I think he could come and arrest me, so I'm scared to hang up on him.

tell him that your line is being traced and the police are aware of these calls that he has been making 2 u, he is not a cop just a loser, there is a service with your phone company that intercepts all private calls i believe it is 5 bux a month 4 the service,good luck

wow... call your phone company and tell them you want to block a number, then you will have to give them the number of the person who is calling you.

you can also set up your calls so that blocked numbers dont even go through, so that the person MUST have an unblocked number to call you. he can't just press star 67 and make it an unknown call. for this service you might have to pay an extra few dollars a month but it's worth it.

for blocking his number you'll have to pay a one time fee. it's worth it too.

Also, you do not have to give him any information that you don't want to do. You don't even need to give a fake address. Tell him you can't offer any money at this time and not to call back, if he does keep calling you (before you block his number).

If you ever see his number, don't pick up. If it's private, don't pick up.

I've put a setting on my land line that it won't accept calls from anonymous callers. Maybe if you do the same, you'll always know it's him.

And by the way, NEVER give him your credit card information. He most likely is trying to steal your identity. Don't give him anything. Just don't pick up the phone, and if you DO  pick up, just tell him that you don't want anything to do with his program or whatever.

Even if he really was a police officer, he can't come and arrest you. And a real police officer would never call you to ask for your credit card info.

Just avoid this creep.

That is such a scam....if he's harassing you like that you should call the cops.  Maybe they could somehow trace the line.  That's illegal.  I highly doubt he's from the police department.
