How can I blow dry my hair while still having my natural curls?

When I try to blow dry my hair I get straight or slightly wavy hair. I just want my natural look, without having to go around with wet hair every morning.

  1. Ive read alot about using a diffuser and going all throughout your hair with a scrunching motion. This will take out the majority of the water and allow you to not have a wet sensation that you would have if just stepped of the shower and went on with your day. It will also maintain your curl definition. You need to make sure you use a moisturing cream or serum that way you dont have to deal with a curlies worst nightmare (FRIZZ!!) I wear my hair naturally curly but I dont mind the wetness after the morning shower.  A good blow dryer with a diffuser attachment can be bought at any local Walmart, K-Mart or Walgreens, or you can go by your local Beauty Supply Store.

  3. Try a diffuser, u can buy one at the store and it clips on to the blowdryer and it reduces like the amount of air being blown out, or something like that. i use one, and i have REALLY curly hair. U might also want to try a product too. I use Totally Twisted by Herbal Essences (It's purple) i use the mousse product and it makes my hair REALLY curly even when i blow dry it.

  4. about 10-15 minutes with a hair dryer so it will look natural and will be a small bit wet for a few minutes.

  5. try using hairspray while and its still wet and drying it with a diffuser (most hairdryers come with an attachable one)

  6. either buy a diffuser attachment or put the dryer and cool and at the lowest setting, also try some mouse I like how it leaves hair soft but firm... HIH

  7. hey. i have really wavy hair and i had the same problem, most of the time i end up sleeping with wet hair, it turns out real interesting in the morning but it gives me sumthing to work with. but if you want to blow dry your hair DONT put product in it prior to drying. i don't care wat ppl say, you do that and your hair gets sticky and it ends up looking greasy within a couple of hours. A diffuser does help in giving you a wave but if you have naturally curly hair it will stuff the curls and break them apart, u'll end up with real frizzy curls. so, i think that you should towel dry your hair. or let it dry a little bit and then set the hair dyer on its coolest setting, drying from a distance. it will take a bit more time but u'll keep your curls. after its dry or mostly dry spray hairspray all over. if you do end up with straightish or flat hair, rub some moose through you hair with you finger tips and then scrunch it, you get springy waves, not great but its ok if you don't want straight or slightly wavy hair. hope that helps.
